    Ma'am Jesus Christ was there in the beginning while creating we believe that Father,Son, and holy spirit makes Trinity God so he was with father and with holy spirit in spirit but physically he was sent into the world later when needed. As they had a short conversation before creating mankind as the Bible says in Genesis 1:26 let us create them in our images. This particular word OUR signifies that God is not alone

      I am not an authority in this. I simply state what poets express. So there are different perspectives. I prefer to not state anything on my own as I definitely do not know what happened in the beginning since I was not there.

    Mam in the line "The damsel with a dulcimer" could that damsel be the muse of Coleridge's poetry who has inspired him to write about Kubla Khan and to revive her song within him. As in India we have devi Saraswati and in Milton's Paradise Lost there is Urania. Can I include this point in my ans?

    I do not think SSR’s death as a Tragedy, since the feeling of catharsis is absent, there’s no sense of tranquility in his death because of the mysterious circumstances around it. the state of anxiety and unanswered questions is ever present,hence, no feeling of relief. our hearts are still disturbed to how and why it led to all of that ending. not to mention he was just 34 y/o at that point, so an incomplete life and it feels like it lacks the “magnitude”. plus, his life was not all “embellished”, he had a humble beginning as a boy from patna and had to face a lot of “discrimination” in the industry?

      No they are different. Neolism is related to using an existing word or phrase in a new way or meaning and spoonerism is making mistake in using a phrase. Malapropism is about misspelling words.

    I'm out of words.. this poem is just so real, so true. Idk how to say it, i felt every line, every word of this poem. I'm not exaggerating, but it was too overwhelming that i had to pause video from time to time to give it a think. It's not just autobiographical for Kamala Das, but all the women around the world. Not only from that time but also about now, present. It has still not changed. The patriarchy, the suffering, the dominance over women, shutting them up, and when they actually learn to raise their voice, call them ill, or shameless, and so many names. Our society still hadn't changed. The agents of patriarchy are still here. Thank you for explaining it so better, when i read this poem myself i knew this poem has so much behind it. Its a masterpiece!

    "Red Rock" reconnects to "London Bridge" by pure Objective Corelative accident - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/London_Bridge_(Lake_Havasu_City)#/media/File:London_Bridge_Lake_Havasu,_aerial_view_1973,_Film0_A_6-11-b.jpg

  • @K_F_fox
    @K_F_fox 3 дні тому

    One of the hardest things for me to keep straight is that "London Bridge" is not a metaphor for taking all of the "fragments," Shakespear, the Gita, Dante, Webster, Ovid, et cetera ad infinitum and moving those elements of the past into the future, because London Bridge didn't move to Arizona until 1968, but Eliot has this way of saying true things that he can't possibly know. How he put it is, "If poetry is a form of ‘communication’, yet that which is to be communicated is the poem itself, and only incidentally the experience and the thought which have gone into it. The poem’s existence is somewhere between the writer and the reader; it has a reality which is not simply the reality of what the writer is trying to ‘express’, or of his experience of writing it, or of the experience of the reader or of the writer as reader. Consequently the problem of what a poem ‘means’ is a good deal more difficult than it at first appears."

    • @NibblePop
      @NibblePop 3 дні тому

      And then there is the additional question of changing perspectives over time. In a post-structuralist universe meaning is the least stable idea I guess.

    I just now realized something about singing out of an empty cistern... Not sure how people were singing in 1922, but very few men have voices that are both deep and strong. The deeper the voice is, the harder it is to project. An empty cistern is one of the best places for someone like me, a basso profundo, to sing, because my voice is so very low that it's hard to sign loud without a microphone unless I have an echoing chamber. But this part of the poem goes back to the quote from the Fire Sermon section, "Et O ces voix d’enfants, chantant dans la coupole!" And not just referencing the high voices of children, but of the Children of the Night: Bats. Major inversion of expectation and experience, yes?

    • @NibblePop
      @NibblePop 4 дні тому

      The motif of singing and silenced voices is recurrent. Also think about the expression "terreu' song of the transformed nightingale and jug jug.

    I finally figured out "who is the third." It's so easy to connect either to the Antarctic expedition via the footnote, or to Luke 24 as mentioned in another footnote, but there is a Quran reference in there as well. "Have you thought of al-Lāt and al-'Uzzá? And about the third one, Manāt?"-Quran 53:19-20

    • @NibblePop
      @NibblePop 4 дні тому

      Well, that perspective opens up a whole new dimension of three sisters of fate, even crossing the borderline between institutionalized religion and pagan pantheistic philosophy! Was Eliot then hinting about the inadequacy of existing religion and looking back at something else!
